...Because there is no feeling in the world like landing a massive move in a boat or looking at a waterfall that looks so strong and powerful and thinking;

“I just threw my self off the top of that and have survived to tell the story”.

I live my life by the feed the rat ways and I will until the day I kick it...

Why I get off on what I'm into?

You are looking over a horizon line where the whole river disappears into nothing, you know it will be hard and you know it could be nasty but you know you can do it - just.

You paddle your way towards it and know that there is no turning back, all thought disappear from you head, there is no work, there is no school, there is no girl friend down the road.

There is just you and the river.

You fall off this horizon,

the Woolshed

In that moment things are still, the air is clear and crisp, there are no sounds at all and then......you splash down into a deep cold clear pool, you are in the middle of nowhere with your mates having the time of your life

Nothing compares.

You are giving it every thing you have, paddling your ass off but going no where.

In your last stroke when you think you have lost it, you’re there on the top of a big

green wave.

The boat starts to go, your carving down the face of a massive one.

You bounce the boat clear of the water, your legs are cramped and bleeding but you fell nothing.

People around you are screaming but still nothing, you think of only one think, the move.

You throw you body in just the right way, the way you have thousands of times before.

The boat fluters and flirts with the air, and smack, you land clean back on the water.

You have just thrown the biggest sickest move of your life but one thought lingers in the back of your mind:

 “Did they get the shot”??
