Who are you: I’m a 24 year old outdoor bum (like many others) from eastern Victoria who loves anything outdoors, especially if it involves water. I spend most of my time thinking, watching and doing kayaking. If I’m not doing that then Imp rob teaching kayaking or running another outdoor activity somewhere around the place. I love water….. ha ha
How did this madness start: I started playing in the outdoors from around the age I could walk. My dad had me on some type of board in the ocean around the age of 3 or 4, thanks dad, legend. /my cousins to me into climbing in NZ when I was a teenager, cheers bro. I got serious about the outdoors a few years ago when I did a Diploma of outdoor recreation with Swinburn and OEG. Since then I’ve not really stopped, I love sleeping under a tarp more than my bed, you can’t see the stars inside.
What style of paddling do you like best: Has to be white water, but doesn’t really matter what discipline if that’s what you would call it. I love narrow shallow steep stuff as much as I enjoy big volume. Play boat or creeker, as long as I’m getting wet that’s all that counts.
Have you ever received a spanking: Does this include girls…….. Na hard to say, I’ve had a few large beatings. The latest good one was in Nepal on the Tamur. Paddled straight into a 15 to 20m wide grade 4+ hole. Got surfed, went around a few times and then flushed out, yippee right above another 250m of class 4. Good days.
