“Hi all, thought I might sit down and write a quick lil email before I go and do my 15th river trip in like 8 days, ha loving this shit.

On Sat and Sun the Wiaroa was running and as it only runs 26 days of the year I made the most of it. On Sat I followed down a new friend of mine James; he’s the camera boater and winner of the Extreme Race a few times on the Wiaroa.

But his lines were sweet and so were mine, cheers for that bro.

Did 2 kayaking runs on Sat and then 2 more rafting trips on Sun followed by one last kayak run, 5 runs in 2 days with no problems at all isn’t bad.

The Wiaroa is SWEEEEEET AS.

They say its class 5 for rafting because of a few waterfalls and nasty spots but I reckon it’s more 3 and 4 for a kayak. ALL good.

They even have a few bolted on chains around the place near the nasty hole so if ya getting worked, then hold on and pull your arse out. And it works as I witnessed it as a C1 paddler got spanked hard, ha ha.

Kiatuna drop.

I’ve stuck on some pics for you to look at. One’s the put-in with Mc Laren falls in the background and yea there is a line or 2 down there and it’s on the tick list.

The other is of a rapid called Mothers Nightmare, thought you might like that one mum, ha. It’s the first pourover/ waterfall.

The last one is of a few rapids, the main waterfall at the top and then the bottom half is the Rollercoaster. These are the 2 main rapids that the race is on, and the ones that a class 5 rating?

I’m still living at a hostel but it’s sweet as I got it sorted and you don’t have to pay bills!

I hear that there is some fucking big fires over there, glad I’m not there, fuck that, you can’t go boating in the fires! Some one send me some pics of it ay that would be cool, or should I say HOT.

Well I’m going to do some more runs down the Kiatuna in my Super Rad 180 playboat, yea the waterfalls seem bigger in a smaller boat, ha funny that.
