Mountain Boards …..

"But what do I use with these kites, you freakin' wood-ducks?" you crudely but accurately say.

Skis or boards if it's winter. You will have both already; we don't sell them and if you don't own them ...... go away.

But for summer it's a different story. To be a snowkiting hell-unit, you WILL need to practice otherwise you will look like a buffoon.

You have 2 options here.

Either buy a "Skatechair" made buy Professor Clem McGavock in NZ.

Or buy a Mountainboard!!!!

With our mate Adam, we sell 2 models, the Raven Lite and the Grommet. They sound as though ones for adults and one for kids but that’s not actually strictly true. Keep reading and you’ll see the explanation ….

Our Board specs:

Everything in the whole world needs specs.

A piece of dirt, a rubbish bin …. everything must have a full NASA-like analysis.

Read ours below to reassure yourself you are not buying simply a piece of wood with wheels on it.

Which you are ……

You’re saying: “I get all this with the Raven Lite?????”

  • 7 ply Canadian maple with 2 layers of fiberglass for extra strength and pop.
  • Full length grip tape of traction
  • Adjustable and secure bindings to fit any shoe
  • Light weight 8” tyres with aggressive tread
  • 2 piece and tough 5 spoke hubs for easy repairs
  • 3 spring position channel trucks with coil springs
  • Rubber sealed bearings
  • Deck size: 96cm X 22cms
  • Overall length 114cms X 37cms
  • Overall weight 7kg
  • Safety leash and tool kit included

But wait, yet more “surprise and delight” features…..

Upgrades:

  • Ratchet tyres
  • 10” tyres
  • Egg shocks (spring inserts)
  • Board bag
  • And the price you ask?

A mere $569 Australian beads.

Don’t thank us.

Buy two instead.

And then you say: “I get all this with the Grommet?????”

You do indeed .....

  • 7 ply Canadian maple.
  • Full length grip tape of traction
  • Adjustable and secure bindings to fit any shoe
  • Light weight 8” tyres with aggressive tread
  • 2 piece and tough 5 spoke hubs for easy repairs
  • 3 spring position channel trucks with coil springs
  • Rubber sealed bearings
  • Deck size: 92cm X 21cms
  • Overall length 98cms X 36cms
  • Overall weight 5kg
  • Safety leash and tool kit included.

With all the Retro-fit stuff applicable too.

The price?

$369 Oz beads for this one.

What’s the difference?

Practically speaking, it’s mainly the type of choice of trucks that is the key point.

The Raven has channel trucks that will handle being jumped, thus landed hard and the Grommet will not.

If you want to be a hell mountainboarder, buy the Raven.

But if you want to use your board to practice for snowkiting and just travel along the flat until you shred in the winter, buy the Grommet

Regardless, both are simply great options.

They’re even better than the Skate-chair.

Sorry Clem …

Bindings not shown but you get 'em.
