Remi made his American debut and took home 2 golds at the Montana Snowkite Rodeo taking home two gold medals in both Freestyle and Kiter Cross Racing. His arsenal of kiteloop handle passes and smooth style was more than enough to secure a victory over three time world champion Guillome Chastignal.

With 5 days of bitterly cold riding in temperatures averaging 10 below, Remi was in his realm, allowing him to dominate the kickers and sliders at Georgetown Lake.

Not only did he light it up in the air but he was the fastest man on lake. With an 8 person snowboard cross final, the heat was stacked with defending kiter cross champions Aaron Sales and Guillome Chastignal.

“I fly my 13m Slingshot Fuel almost every day and the conditions were perfect to let it all out. I just got out in front and never looked back.” he explained when asked how he won the race. Not a bad performance considering he celebrated his 21st birthday the night before.

Explosive, electric, technical and solid are the words one would use to describe him. Remi is easily known in his homeland of Norway and in the rest of Europe as one of the most innovative snowkiters on the scene.

Remi has spent the last four years developing his unique style that can best be described as a combination of technical snowboard manoeuvres with unmatched amplitude and style.

He is currently working on a DVD video dedicated to freestyle snowkiting with videographer Morten Gjerstad of www.snowkitefilm.com It will showcase “Remi-action” in well known US locations such as Park City Utah, Powder Mountain, Skyline and Dillon, Colorado.
